Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before handling the bottle.
Preparing for Application
Gently tilt your head back. Pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pouch. This makes application easier and more precise.
Applying the Drops
Hold the Flonase bottle upside down, about 1 centimeter above your eye. Squeeze one drop into the pouch you created. Avoid touching the tip of the bottle to your eye or any surface.
Close your eye gently and press gently on the inner corner (near your nose) for about one minute. This helps prevent the medication from draining into your tear duct and reduces potential side effects.
After Application
Gently blot away any excess medication with a clean tissue. Repeat the process in your other eye if needed, using a fresh drop.
Storage and Disposal
Store the bottle upright in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Discard the bottle after the expiration date, even if there is medication remaining.
When to Consult a Doctor
Contact your doctor if you experience any significant eye irritation, blurred vision, or other adverse reactions. Also consult your physician if symptoms don’t improve after a week of consistent use.
Frequency of Use
Always follow the dosage instructions provided by your doctor or pharmacist. Improper usage may impact treatment efficacy.
