Prednisolone Suspension 1% Op: Dosage and Administration

Always follow your doctor’s instructions precisely. The typical dosage for adults and children is one to two drops in the affected eye(s) every four to six hours. For severe inflammation, your doctor may increase the frequency.

Before applying, gently wash your hands. Tilt your head back and pull down your lower eyelid to create a pocket. Squeeze one or two drops into this pocket, being careful not to touch the dropper to your eye or any surface. Close your eye gently and press lightly on the inner corner (near your nose) for about one minute to prevent the medication from draining into your tear duct.

If you are using multiple eye medications, wait at least five to ten minutes between applications to allow each medication to absorb properly.

For children, ensure a responsible adult administers the medication. If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as you remember, unless it’s nearly time for your next dose. Never double the dose.

If you experience any unexpected side effects, such as blurred vision, increased eye pressure, or persistent eye irritation, contact your doctor immediately.
